Healthy lifestyles reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes up 75%

According to a study, people who live the healthiest lifestyles are 75 percent less likely to get type 2 diabetes.

Over 1.1 million persons were analysed in 14 investigations by scientists at China’s Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Adults who ate healthily, exercised regularly, and did not smoke were found to be less likely to get the deadly disease.

The researchers suggest that each ‘good habit’ a person adopts reduces their risk by up to 61 percent.

Aside from diabetes, living a healthy lifestyle lowered the participants’ chance of death from heart disease or cancer by up to 52%.
